Ghyll Scrambling

Explore one of the beautiful Lakeland mountain ghylls. Experience the exhilaration of scrambling and climbing your way through rocky sections, jumping and swimming through crystal clear pools.

Canyoning

Epic adventure - Swim through rapids, jump and swim in crystal clear plunge pools and scramble your way up rocky waterfalls. Adrenaline filled adventure in the most stunning Lake District scenery.

Abseiling

Experience the thrills of abseiling down a sheer rock face. For those that love a challenge! We have different abseiling experiences to choose from with our biggest one being a giant 45 meters!

Bushcraft

Bushcraft is a collection of skills that can be used to survive in the natural environment. Try your hand at friction fire lighting, wild cooking or foraging. We also offer canoe & bushcraft.

Rock Climbing

We offer Rock Climbing for every level, from beginners who want a taste of climbing to indoor wall climbers wanting to progress to the next step to being guided up the Lake District classics.

Canoeing

Explore the delights and stunning scenery by canoe. We run guided Canoe Trips, Dark Sky Canoeing and Canoe & Bushcraft. Trips to suit everyone. Our canoes can also be made into stable rafts.

Guided Walks & Scrambles

Our local friendly guides will show you some of the Lake Districts most beautiful places. Maybe you want to tick off Striding edge, Scafell Pike or learn the navigation skills to go alone. We give you the confidence to go and do it.

Dark Sky Events

Experience the beauty of the night sky in one of England's best places for Stargazing - the Lake District. During the darker months of the year we offer exciting night-time activities.

Ghyll scrambling is basically exploring your way up and down a river, climbing, sliding, swimming and jumping off big ledges into deep pools. Path to Adventure do a few trips, we did the Coniston Beck 14+ canyoning version and had lots of fun. The equipment provided was amazing and kept us warm. Our guide Adam was friendly, funny and informative. Such a cool way to explore a beautiful and vital part of the Lake District's ecosystem, sometimes fighting the rapids, sometimes letting the river guide you along. Would recommend it as a great activity which is a little different. It's adventurous but suitable for all the family and age groups (they have different trips catered this way) and I believe the Eskdale trip is the next step up in terms of fear-factor so that is where I will be heading next!!
