Amazing outdoor experiences in Lake District - here's what people are saying...
'' This was an epic adventure! The preparation was thorough, and the guidance was flawless but the best part was the absolute enthusiasm of the instructors, Al and Heather. It really felt like an old-fashioned adventure: setting off at dusk, the campfire & hot chocolate on the tiny island we paddled to and canoeing back in the pitch dark under the stars! Highly recommend this!'' -

"I wholeheartedly recommend this company. Adam guided my family (including my 8 and 9-year-old daughters) up Church Beck this summer. He has an excellent manner with children (and adults!), encouraging but not putting any pressure on them. My kids did jumps they thought they couldn't do, and loved it. We felt safe at all times and had a really great afternoon ghyll scrambling. The equipment is very good too. Thanks Adam!"

'' Bushcraft - This is a great activity if you want something slightly different from the normal stuff in the Lakes. Really friendly hosts and have loads of interesting things to do for adults and kids. Everyone on our day got something out of it. Great value for money and loads of fun. Definitely recommend it to anyone. Eating fish eyes wasn't expected mind you!"

Ghyll scrambling is basically exploring your way up and down a river, climbing, sliding, swimming and jumping off big ledges into deep pools. Path to Adventure do a few trips, we did the Coniston Beck 14+ canyoning version and had lots of fun. The equipment provided was amazing and kept us warm. Our guide Adam was friendly, funny and informative. Such a cool way to explore a beautiful and vital part of the Lake District's ecosystem, sometimes fighting the rapids, sometimes letting the river guide you along. Would recommend it as a great activity which is a little different. It's adventurous but suitable for all the family and age groups (they have different trips catered this way) and I believe the Eskdale trip is the next step up in terms of fear-factor so that is where I will be heading next!!
