Dating back to the 14th century, Irton Hall is an excellent destination for outdoor activities, offering a spacious hotel alongside seven self-catering accommodations within its stunning historic building. The expansive grounds are ideal for team-building exercises, and its convenient location provides easy access to all our water-based activities.

One of Cumbria’s most historic inns, set at the head of Eskdale Valley and the base of Hardknott Pass. Offering cozy ensuite rooms and great pub grub in the stunning Eskdale Valley.

A great location close to our activities in either Eskdale or Wasdale.

Bridge Inn
The Bridge Inn, once a humble mail coach stop, is now a welcoming country pub and hotel, offering comfort and hospitality to all. Pet-friendly throughout, it provides excellent food, well-kept ales, and high-quality accommodations for today’s traveler. An excellent location if you are looking for a place to stay close to our watersports on Wastwater.

Woolpack Farm Glamping Lodges and Pods
Cozy Glamping Lodges & Pods in the Heart of the Western Lake District
Enjoy en-suite glamping in Eskdale Valley set in a peaceful, remote location. Next door is The Woolpack Inn, with its wood-fired pizzas and good pub grub. Two other great pubs, scenic walks and wild swims are all close by.
The site is eco-friendly, powered by solar, battery storage, and biomass heating. Now offering EV charging. Dogs welcome.

YHA's & Bunkhouses, Western Lake District

YHA, Eskdale
Nestled within 15 acres of private grounds, YHA Eskdale is perfectly situated at the foot of the some of the highest peak in the Lake District. The hostel offers a full catering service, along with a fully equipped self-catering kitchen for added convenience.
With 47 beds spread across 10 bedrooms, guests can choose from private rooms for families or groups of friends, including two rooms with double beds that accommodate up to five people. Dormitory beds are also available for solo travelers. Most rooms boast stunning views of the surrounding fields and mountains.

YHA, Wasdale
This stunning 19th-century country manor lives up to its grand reputation. A favorite among visitors, this Cumbrian hostel is renowned for its magnificent architecture and the breathtaking scenery that has earned the title of Britain’s Favourite View.
Nestled on the shores of Wastwater, England’s deepest lake, YHA Wasdale is a stones throw from our watersports base. The perfect location if you want to participate in our Canoeing, Kayaking or Paddleboarding sessions.

Large Group Accommodation, Western Lake District

The Old School Bunkhouse
The Old School House in Boot offers comfortable bunk-style accommodation, ideal for larger groups. It features a spacious dining area, ample washroom facilities, and a well-equipped kitchen, making it a great base for group stays. With two separate dorms, it can accommodate up to 24 guests.
Outside, a garden area provides the perfect setting for barbecues. Plus there are three fantastic pubs within a mile. A fantastic base if you are going Canyoning in the Esk!

Stanley House
This spacious and inviting house is perfect for gatherings of friends and family, making it an ideal setting for special occasions and celebrations.
With 12 generously sized en-suite rooms, Stanley House comfortably accommodates up to 26 guests. For large group celebrations, the entire property can be booked exclusively, ensuring a private and memorable experience. An excellent base for all our Western activities.

The Old School, Muncaster
Formerly the local primary school, The Old School at Muncaster has been transformed into a holiday home that accommodates large groups of up to 18 guests. With 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, it’s an ideal choice for family gatherings or other large groups. Located just steps from Muncaster Castle, The Old School offers a peaceful and relaxing retreat. Fairfield is a fabulous and spacious home nestled in the Cumbrian village of Eskdale Green.
This eight-bedroom house enjoys a contemporary interior with Jerusalem stone flooring, light and airy rooms and views of the beautiful countryside.

Eskdale Retreat
Eskdale Retreat combines traditional Lakeland charm with contemporary Scandi design. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area features a double-sided log burner and expansive bifold doors overlooking the meadow towards the River Esk, with the Lakeland fells in the backdrop. It offers six luxurious ensuite bedrooms, with two more in the adjacent coach house, accommodating up to 16 guests. Seven bedrooms have super king beds, four of which can convert into singles.
Complete with a large TV/cinema room, cozy library snug, large hot tub, and Alpine-style boot room. Cyclists will appreciate the secure storage for 16 bikes and washing facilities!

Fisherground Campsite
Fisherground is set in the heart of Eskdale, one of Cumbria's most beautiful valleys. Complete the option to light campfires (in fire pits) and with an adventure playground for children, this is the perfect location for families and friends who want to visit this and enjoy this stunning area. We have a selection of outdoor activities available right on the doorstep of this campsite!

Church Stile Holiday Park
Nestled in the heart of Wasdale, one of Cumbria’s most breath-taking valleys, Church Stile Holiday Park offers the perfect base to explore the western Lake District. Stay in a camping pitch, motorhome spot, rental static caravan, or try glamping in a cozy Shepherd’s Hut. Set within an oak woodland on a traditional Lakeland farm, the park boasts stunning mountain views and abundant wildlife. The Old Post Office Campsite
The Old Post Office Campsite, a small family-run site on the western edge of the Lake District, has been welcoming visitors since 1951. Over the years, it has grown into an ideal holiday retreat.
Located in the peaceful village of Santon Bridge close to the Santon Bridge Inn, the campsite sits beside the River Irt, renowned for its salmon, sea trout, and brown trout—perfect for those seeking a fishing-friendly getaway. Our western activity locations can be reached in a short drive from here.

Park Gate Farm Holidays
Offering three luxury glamping cabins, five holiday caravans, and a cozy cottage, all nestled in the valley with stunning views of the Wasdale and Eskdale fells. From April to December, the campsite is open, featuring electric pitches and a camping pod.
Surrounded by fields and woodland, it's the perfect spot for exploring, playing, building dens, or simply unwinding while enjoying the abundant wildlife.

Ravenglass Camping and Caravanning
Just 500 meters from the seafront, Ravenglass Club campsite offers a peaceful retreat on the outskirts of the historic fishing village of Ravenglass. Set within six acres, it provides spacious pitches for caravans, motorhomes, tents, and trailer tents. With three wooden camping pods, modern facilities, and a tree-lined tent area, the site is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The village, with its three welcoming pubs, is just a short walk away.

Hows Wood
Hows Wood Bed & Breakfast, located at Hollins Farm beside the National Trust campsite in Boot, offers a peaceful retreat. A converted bank barn now houses three luxury ensuite bedrooms and a cozy breakfast area. With stunning valley and fell walks, easy access to the West Coast, the Scafell range, nearby wild swimming spots, and our nearby outdoor activities, it’s the perfect base.

Forest How
Forest How is a Victorian house from the 1870s, set in 5 acres of peaceful seclusion in gardens and fellside at the foot of Muncaster Fell, offering stunning fell views. This cozy B&B in Eskdale Valley provides comfortable stays, hearty breakfasts, and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests can explore the gardens or relax and enjoy the local wildlife.

Burnthwaite Farm
Burnthwaite Farm is a traditional B&B and working farm with cattle and Herdwick sheep, set in the beautiful Wasdale Valley. It offers direct access to Scafell Pike, Great Gable, and Wastwater - a perfect retreat for walkers, climbers, and wild swimmers.

Church House
Church House is a beautifully renovated Lakeland farmhouse in a breathtaking spot by St Catherine's Church and the River Esk. Set on two acres of gardens, meadow, and stream, it offers stunning fell views. The house sleeps seven in three bedrooms, providing spacious and luxurious accommodation. A quirky bothy across the courtyard offers extra space for 2/3 people at an extra cost.

Low Fold Holiday Cottages
Both cottages are luxuriously furnished for comfort and style, designed as romantic couple retreats but can also be configured for friends or families with zip-and-link beds. Located together, they can be booked as one. Low Fold offers indoor furnishings for four, while The Nook has outdoor garden furniture for four. A welcome hamper of local produce and essentials, including tea, coffee, sugar, and milk, is provided.
